Bitcoin resources
They say that once you “see” Bitcoin, you can never un-see it. The book that did this for me was The Bitcoin Standard, by Saifedean Ammous. Saifedean is a brilliant storyteller and gives a fascinating account of the history of money and its importance for civilisation. He assumes no prior economic, financial or computer science background (I had none), and lays out the economic and moral case for Bitcoin, as well as the essential parts of its technical operation.
The other body of work that has been eye-opening to me is What Bitcoin Did, a high quality podcast by British bitcoiner Peter McCormack. What Bitcoin Did showcases the richness of the Bitcoin community and the vast range of topics that Bitcoin touches. Peter is a talented interviewer and strives to make the podcast accessible to everyone, including a non-technical audience.
The amount of Bitcoin resources now in existence is vast and continues to grow, seemingly exponentially. Below is a collection of only a few. They include resources that I have used myself, or that are well regarded in the space. Finally, people are one on the most valuable resources of all, so if you have the chance to meet other bitcoiners, or attend a Bitcoin conference, do it!
